Sling ropes are made from steel wire ropes that are fitted with eyes or suitable fittings such as hooks or shackles.
The ropes are manufactured in accordance with DIN EN 13414 (formerly DIN 3088). The applicable European regulations differentiate between sling ropes according to the type of insert and the end connection. Thereafter there are 8 variants with different load capacities:
Sling ropes in pressed design with aluminum or steel pressing with fiber core FC or steel core IWRC.
For cable laid ropes in pressed or spliced design, ropes with a steel core are used, which are stranded around a central fiber core.
Endlessly laid grummets are made from ropes with fiber core FC or steel core IWRC.
